GREE Electric Appliances Inc. is currently the No1 air conditioning manufacturer worldwide, with a production capacity of over 30 million sets of residential and light commercial air conditioners, and 5,5 million sets of commercial air conditioners, reaching an annual turnover of over 16 billion US dollars.


The eight production bases situated in The People's Republic of China and other countries around the world employ a total of 40.000 employees. The company has, since 1996, ranked first in sales volume and production, both in the domestic market of China and globally. According to the official statistics, in recent years, GREE is the most important exporter of air conditioners in the country.


GREE Electric Appliances has a philosophy that focuses on technological advancement and improvement of products and production systems, as well as strict quality control of components and production. The R&D department, which holds more than 3.000 patents, employs approximately 3.300 scientists and technicians, in more than 300 control laboratories.


The current production includes three key areas: the residential, the light commercial and the commercial air conditioning, with 30 categories and 1.100 different series of air conditioners, from a residential of 5.000 Btu/h to a commercial of 24.570.000 Btu/h. GREE Electric Appliances, through its seven affiliated companies, is also producing series for marine applications, as well as electrical and electronic components, compressors and other parties.


In 2009, GREE Electric Appliances Inc signed a strategic agreement with Daikin Industries Ltd, in order to create a series of joint venture companies, which would develop and produce residential Inverter series for the global market.


A high quality product consists of high quality components and follows strict specifications. The 100% of the basic components are tested before the assembly. At the same time, considerable funds are invested on the quality control of the production, with international standards such as CE, TUV, GS, UL, SASO, OHSAS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EUROVENT, but also in environmental protection systems such as IECQ, ROHS e.t.c.
