Nippon – D. Mavrogenis S.A. was founded in 1997 with sole aim to import and distribute MIYOTO brand A/C in the Hellenic and European market.
It is a company operating in the field of imports, exports and wholesale distribution in the electrical appliances sector, focusing in the air conditioning business.
Basing on the 25-year old experience of the founder, the company has since 2003 been the exclusive distributor in Hellas, of GREE Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai, the largest air conditioners manufacturer in the Peoples republic of China, and largest in the world in terms of production capacity. The manufacturer is known for its high quality & reliability products with wide range to cover every kind of demand.
The company headquarters are situated in Thessaloniki, with offices in Athens. The corporate structure follows international standards, paying particular attention to customer services. For this reason, Nippon – D. Mavrogenis S.A. focuses not only on pre-sales but after-sales services as well, through an in-house technical after sales department, dedicated to the needs of the company network and end consumers as well.
The sales network consists of dedicated partners around Greece in the form of specialized A/C trading companies (installers), construction companies, electric appliance shops and buying groups. Today more than 500 customers trust our company, our products and services, bestowing their trust through trading agreements.
The company is constantly monitoring the external environment in order to lead the highly competitive market of air conditioning. History
The family of Mr. Dimitri Mavrogenis holds a long tradition in the A/C field in Greece.
Excel S.A., the first corporate attempt in the A/C field, was founded by Mr. Dimitri Mavrogenis in 1987. The company developed soon to be the exclusive distributor of Fujitsu General for Central, Northern Greece and Balkans, participating effectively to the successful building of the Fujitsu brand name in Greece. Within ten years, Excel S.A. reached a turnover of 6 bn. Drachma (18 m Euro) the second ranking position in terms of sales in the Greek market at the time.
By 2000 the company agrees with Haier Group to become the exclusive importer and distributor of A/C products for the Greek market. Within the first two years the emerging Haier Brand makes record sales of 50.000 sets, strongly entering the Greek market as well as surrounding Balkan countries.
Parallel to the activity of Excel S.A. and with sole aim to import and distribute MIYOTO brand A/C in the Greek and European market, Nippon S.A. was founded in 1997.
In 2003 the Nippon S.A. is taken over by Dimitris Mavrogenis, founder and former CEO, major shareholder and chairman of Excel S.A. This change of ownership and management of the company is followed by a complete restructuring. In this context, Nippon S.A. becomes the exclusive distributor of GREE brand in Greece, also introducing TREND and LORENZ privately owned OEM A/C brands in the Greek market.
In the period between 2008 and 2010 Nippon S.A. also acted as exclusive importer and distributor of GORENJE WG in the Greek market. The global Slovenian white goods manufacturer has been producing appliances for more than 50 years, and is famous for the technology, design & quality features of their products.
